It’s not the impact of the peanuts that matters, the compressed air is all coming from a barrel seemingly less than a foot wide, assuming the man is 175 pounds, it would take many multiple times more than that to actually lift him off his feet and throw him horizontally backwards. It would kill you. Just because it’s a gas hitting you doesn’t make 1000 pounds of force any less bad.
Besides, the video is fake anyways so debating the physics is kind of moot.

I watched the long version and it showed that your test shot was at .5 barometric pressure. What pressure did you use to achieve the effect we see in this video?

Either A – they’re knocked the F out, Or B they’re dead. Great video effect though. I think they just made it too extreme to be believable.
Despite that I actually think it’s fake… if you watch it slowed down the guy in the picture next to the cannon with the switch kinda jumps suddenly, indicating a cut in the video. The prankee probably hit those lockers hard, but it wasn’t from the air cannon. great editing and a nice way of covering up the jump edit, just not good enough. Still funny as hell though XD.
Looks more like a murder attempt than a prank to me… :/ Yeah, sure it’s fun to watch as long as the guy didn’t get hurt too much… but this could have been very serious… he could have hit his head too hard and died, broken ribs and punctured his lungs, been impaled on a locker door if it hadn’t been closed or something else… I seriously hope this is fake… or these guys could have killed him… :/
